Company Policies

Please read and follow all policies below. Tap each section to expand.

Attendance & Punctuality

As a 1099 independent contractor, your reliability is the foundation of our relationship with clients.

Requirements:

  • Arrive on time or early to every assigned job. Late arrivals reflect directly on DW Cleaning Service.
  • If you cannot make a job, notify Charlie at (954) 292-1937 a minimum of 4 hours in advance.
  • Repeated no-shows or late arrivals without notice may result in removal from the contractor roster.
  • Clock in using this portal when you arrive and clock out when your shift is complete.
👔Professional Conduct & Appearance

You represent DW Cleaning Service at every job site. Professional conduct is non-negotiable.

Standards:

  • Wear clean, presentable clothing — preferably dark colors or DW Cleaning Service branded attire.
  • Be polite and professional with all clients, tenants, and building occupants at all times.
  • Do not use client facilities (restrooms for personal use, break rooms, etc.) without permission.
  • No personal phone calls or social media use while actively working on a job site.
  • Any client concerns or complaints should be reported to Charlie immediately — never argue with a client.
🔒Confidentiality & Security

You will have access to client facilities, sometimes after hours. Trust and confidentiality are paramount.

  • Never share client building codes, key information, or access details with anyone.
  • Do not allow unauthorized individuals into a client property.
  • Report any security concerns, unlocked doors, or suspicious activity to Charlie immediately.
  • Client business information you observe on-site is strictly confidential.
  • Violation of confidentiality policies will result in immediate termination of contractor agreement.
🧹Quality Standards

DW Cleaning Service has built a reputation for exceptional quality. Every job must meet our standards.

  • Complete all tasks listed on your job checklist before leaving a site.
  • Do a final walkthrough of each area before clocking out.
  • Use only approved, eco-friendly cleaning products provided or approved by DW Cleaning Service.
  • Report any damaged items, maintenance issues, or areas of concern to Charlie with photos when possible.
  • Never cut corners — if a job takes longer than expected, notify Charlie but complete the work.
💰1099 Contractor & Tax Policy

All contractors work as independent 1099 contractors, not employees of DW Cleaning Service.

  • You are responsible for paying your own federal and state taxes on income received.
  • A completed W-9 form is required before your first payment. Download it in the Documents tab.
  • A 1099-NEC will be issued to you by January 31st if you earn $600 or more in a calendar year.
  • DW Cleaning Service does not withhold taxes, provide benefits, or cover workers' compensation.
  • You are encouraged to set aside 25–30% of earnings for self-employment taxes.
🚨Safety & Incident Reporting
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or incidents on a job site to Charlie immediately by phone.
  • Do not move or disturb the scene of an accident until it has been documented.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and appropriate PPE (gloves, masks) when using cleaning chemicals.
  • Never use ladders or equipment you have not been trained on.
  • In case of emergency, call 911 first, then notify Charlie.
